MINUTES OF SPECIAL MEETING

OF BOARD OF TRUSTEES

HOLIDAY SHORES SANITARY DISTRICT

Wednesday, April 27, 2015

 

The Board of Trustees of the Holiday Shores Sanitary District met on the above date in Special session pursuant to laws and rules of said Board of Trustees and in accordance with the terms of the notice of a special meeting.

Richard Hayes, President called the meeting to order.  Trustees present were Jeff Sedlacek and Dennis Van Sandt.  Also present were Carla Lankster, District Clerk, and Ken Dulle of Du-Con.  Also present were Bob Perica, Attorney for the District, Robin & Brennen Murphy regarding property on Monaco Drive.

Trustee, Mr. Van Sandt made a motion to Adjourn to Executive Session.  Mr. Sedlacek seconded the motion and all Trustees voted “Aye”.

Executive session pursuant to Statute 5 ILCS 120 (C)(11).  To discuss Litigation.

Returning to regular session.  Mr. Hayes, President restated what was determined in executive session, an offer brought to the Trustees of the Sanitary District by Attorney, Bob Perica regarding the Wilson Case.  Specifically, the pie-shaped lot that the District bought 30 years ago that they still want half of it back for free.  Our decision is that we totally disagree and reject this offer, and if they don’t sign off on the deed as-is, we will proceed every way we can with requesting in court for de-valuation of the property, legal fees, etc.  It was voted on to deny the offer.  Mr. Hayes motioned to deny the offer.  Mr. Van Sandt seconded the motion, and all trustees voted “Aye”.

Mr. Van Sandt made a motion to Adjourn.  Mr. Sedlacek seconded the motion and all trustees voted “Aye”.
