MINUTES OF SPECIAL MEETING

OF BOARD OF TRUSTEES

HOLIDAY SHORES SANITARY DISTRICT

Thursday, June 9, 2022

The Board of Trustees of the Holiday Shores Sanitary District met on the above date in Special session pursuant to laws and rules of said Board of Trustees and in accordance with the terms of the notice of a special meeting.

Jeff Sedlacek, President called the meeting to order.  Trustees also present were Richard Hayes and Brennan Murphy.  Also present was Carla Lankster, District Clerk, and Joe Urban, Operator, and John Horstman of Certop, Inc.

This meeting was called to Review emergency proposal for Class A Water Licensed outside contractor.  Mr. John Horstmann of Certop, Inc. presented a contract to supply a Class A Water operator to be able to sign IEPA paperwork, on a temporary basis.  Mr. Hayes and Mr. Murphy had a question they posed to Mr. Horstmann, regarding the length of the contract.  It is shown as effective beginning June 15, 2022 through June 15, 2025.  If one or more of our techs is able to pass the Class A Water test, will the contract be done?  Mr. Horstmann answered, “Yes”, “That is our business”.  They come in temporarily, to provide the service, until the Water District no longer needs their service.

Mr. Hayes then made a motion to approve the contract for Certop, Inc. to be a temporary Class A Licensed Operator for the Holiday Shores Sanitary District.  Mr. Murphy seconded the motion, and all Trustees voted “Aye”.

The contract was signed, and an original will be sent to the IEPA for approval.

ADJOURNMENT OF THE SPECIAL MEETING

Mr. Hayes made a motion to adjourn the special meeting.  Mr. Murphy seconded the motion, and all Trustees voted “Aye”.
