Tours set for sanitary district’s new facility

On Nov. 19, between 10 a.m. and noon, residents of Holiday Shores are invited to an open house to tour the new $4.7 million dollar Holiday Shores Sanitary District water treatment plant that went online July 1.

District water customers who attend the open house will be eligible to sign up to win the door prize – one month of free water.

The facility, referred to as a membrane filtration plant, is the fifth to be built in Illinois and was manufactured by Siemens Corporation.
